What happens if the weight or dimensions entered during booking differ from the courier's measurement?

Shipping charges are calculated using the higher of:

  • The package's actual weight (Dead Weight), or

  • The weight calculated from its dimensions (Volumetric Weight).

If the courier measures a different weight or size than what was entered while booking the shipment, a weight discrepancy may be raised and additional charges may apply. To avoid this, always enter accurate weight and dimensions when creating the shipment. You can also use the Weight Freeze feature to reduce the chances of weight-related billing disputes.
